Thoughts on "Odd Thomas"

Oh well, I've just completed Dean R. koontz's "Odd Thomas" and I felt like jotting down a few thoughts on that account. I had very high hopes for the book since I usually love his work, but I don't think it was very good. It just wasn't that suspenseful. I also felt that there was some loose ends somehow - not that there was but emotionally I left some of the persons along the way. Also, the main character was a really nice guy but a tad bit annyoing actually. It wasn't as it has been with his other books, I haven't had that experience where I lie awake reading until 3 at night, not being able to put the book down. The ending of the book was beautiful though - practically the only good thing.
I've just begun his other book "The Face" here for a few hours ago - and already that seems much better! About 10 pages into the book I'm already dying to know what that weird poem meant and what the bad guy's fanciful "art" had to do with it.

Outside it's snowing big time. I was actually meaning to go to my friend's boyfriend's party (he's finished his education as a smith) but because of the snow I no longer think it's such a good idea. A shame, because it would be so much fun. But better to be safe than sorry, right? It probably wouldn't be a problem to go but going home would be more difficult because of the low temperature leading to even more snow and icy roads. Probably not a good idea.
