Before I logged on to the net I had this whole post planned out... Now, it seems, I don't remember what I wanted to say. I'm too tired.
I'm completely jaded every day. I guess it's a combination of long hours at uni, tons and tons of homework and more hours at work. I've actually more or less signed up for one more job in the upcoming year so I'll guess I'll have to manage.
Well, what I can tell you about is something I was told at lectures here the other day... "You are what you experience" was the words. The meaning was that the softwiring of the brain changes everytime something is experienced and remembered, so if you knew how, you can actually be who you wanna be by experiencing the events that would mould you that way. Of course that would take much more than can actually be accomplished. But it's really neat. The hardwiring of our brains are excatly the same but the softwiring, the individual neurons, are different with all of us. So in reality each and every one of us is unique. That's really cool in my opinion :o)
One good thing can be said of this entire period of hectic activity: Neurobiology is an extremely interesting field. Never a day goes by without me learning something new and interesting.
Enough about me... Today I went to my aunt's wedding. First we attended the ceremony at city hall and then afterwards we went to have dinner. We had a really nice time.
It also felt really nice to be doing something with the entire family. Also my other aunt is feeling much better, so that's a joyful thing as well.
Okay, on with the chatter... On New Year's Eve I'm going over to a friend's house to celebrate the new year. The party is a theme-party, the theme being "1001 Night" - I have to come up with a costume. I figure it be something colourful, glittering and sexy. But I'll do a bit of research and then check out the contents of my wardrobe.
Well, I'll get on with the research. Take Care and Merry Christmas!
