Well, all my worries have completely disappeared... I've just finished watching the 2nd episode of the season, and I must say, I'm thrilled. The big bad is back! And he's as cheeky as ever. He even brings some of the humor back in Angel - we haven't seen him so funny since season 3. He's been all moody and broody for the entire season 4, so it's nice to see him get his sense of humor back - even if it's just as an expression of his annoyance of Spike.
I loved the whole soul-being-trapped-thing. It's an okay arc for Spike's character and it sure as Hell makes for a lot of gags. It's also nice again to see him with his spirits up (no pun intended) - he hasn't been so funny since the time when he was lurking outside of Buffy's house and stealing her sweaters.
These days I'm watching the 2nd season of Angel, which I've just bought. And what strikes me the most is how I miss the old Wesley. He's become all too cool. He was so much more fun when he was a clumsy nerd. And Cordelia... how great she was before the whole higher-being-stuff. Well, the characters naturally just moved on.
Well, Tru Calling is on now with the lovely Eliza Dushku in the starring role. I was beginning to fear that I would have nothing to do on Sundays when Buffy and then Angel's over but Tru Calling is definitely a worthy replacement. I also hope we'll get to see Giles' series Ripper soon - don't really know how far they are with that but I'm really looking forward to it.
Just an afterthought... I'm getting my new computer on tuesday!!! Partially funded by the money I've earned by selling my Diddl postcards. Who would've thought! Postcards funding a computer... I know I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't know it was the absolute truth!
